I might be mistaken but due to their similarity to meat, I had them under the “protein” section. The supplement part needs to be non-vegan (I’m assuming this because the warning does not seem to apply to specific foods)? If not, how to do this?

That is fair as mushrooms are fungi-based.
You do not need to eat meat for b12 or for Omega 3 as you can find them synthesized in plant-based supplements or fortified foods.
