Opening up a new tab is the computer equivalent of walking into a new room.
And then “well now that the browser is already open. Why don’t I check out Lemmy.”
I relate too much to this. I also often end up on YouTube for hours like this. Im in the process of being diagnosed if I have adhd and whatever i have, adhd or not, I just want help to make it stop ruining my life so much
I’m sorry, but you’ve got a terminal case of the distracteds. There’s nothing more we can do for you.
Oh noo I’m being sucked into the misinformation vortex of YouTube shorts.
For someone not diagnosed with ADHD, I sure share a lot of ADHD traits 😅
Me too, my gf is diagnosed but im much “worse” than her, but nope i dont have a diagnose I was just an unruly and lazy boy.
Same
If only I didn’t keep scrolling, thinking I’ll just look it up in a second. Now it’s gone forever.
“How to sleep”
I’ve actually learnt to retrace my steps. If a video inspires me to google something, I go back by a couple of minutes, try to repeat the train of thoughts I had, and it often works.

Idk I don’t use Google I use duckduckgo
Duckduckgo is the superior of the two.
I google it on duck duck go. Googling things is much easier on duck duck go than google. Com
You duck it? Hmmmm not as catchy
