Except it’s not. It’s on purpose to avoid required record keeping and FOIA requests. Illegal as hell but here we are.

The fuck up they’re referring to is the fact that they accidentally exposed themselves using Signal in the first place.

FOIA has nothing to do with this.

These are discussions of military operations and our relation to foreign nations. It would basically instantly be considered sensitive for quite some time. Think “years” and it would be pretty trivial to get that bumped up to decades.

This was solely about the convenience of not needing to use a VTC room or the fancy computer in their office (that they probably leave the door unlocked to but…) and possibly being able to show it to russia.

Read the story. Waltz set parts of the messages to be deleted after a certain time period. That by itself is illegal as hell and does indeed pertain to record keeping requirements and down the line FOIA requests.

The ringleader, and President of the United States of America, is a convicted Rapist. They don’t give a fuck what you think about them, because you’ve proven that you’ll elect them anyways.

Why would they care? Republicans went on tirades for like… 3 years about “Epstein lists!” even though we knew beyond all doubt that Trump was on those lists, but they somehow don’t think he’s a pedophile. We know Trump raped “Katie Johnson,” a 13 year old girl with Epstein. From his base? Crickets.

They just plain don’t fucking care. They’re evil people masquerading as non-evil people.

    Say incompetence. INCOMPETENCE!

They are scared you’ll see their incompetence. They don’t care if you see their f**k ups. They don’t care if you see their crimes. They don’t care if you see their evil.

But they really don’t want you to think they’re incompetent. Which of course, they are.

Every time they fire somebody and they have to rehire them. INCOMPETENCE

Every time they say they’re going to do something and it doesn’t get done. INCOMPETENCE.

Oh, believe me, their egos are so fragile, they will pitch a fit.

    What?

If this is the worst Pete can imagine, then he should be nowhere near Dem leadership because there are going to be much larger fuckups than this.

We need people who will do more than just react, especially when their reactions are just repeating public opinion.

And if you aren’t predicting what they’ll do next, all you’re doing is reacting.

Hate to break it to you but after these ‘lapses’ lead to a new 9/11 your government is going to blame it on Canada and invade. Your people will be on board and write country songs and have freedom gravy fries and nobody is going to stop them.

Millions are going to die because you think, as a culture, again, that you will steamroll. And after the cities are razed and as you guys are mining and pumping the ruins, a million Canadians will cross, with nothing left but hate, thousands of kilometres of open forest border into a world of lootable weapons, identical appearances, and immigrated guerrilla terror.

        Seriously?

This was an accident, you can’t imagine they wouldn’t trade this kind of info for personal profit?

Like, they’ve done worse than this even in this situation. The attack was worse than how they planned it or that a journalist was added.

I swear people focus on the dumbest shit to be upset about

It’s exactly what fascists always try for, but they need a population willfully ignorant of history for it to work.

Which is why Republicans and neoliberals united for “no child left behind” decades ago, and today’s younger generations suffer from “brain rot” that shit was intentional.

You posted this to a political but don’t want anyone to talk about politics…

And your plan to do that is to keep replying to people, telling them that you don’t want to talk, instead of just not replying? Or better yet just not posting in the first place?

Are you inferring that Buttigieg is a Democratic leader?

In what way? Did he win a Federal election? My understanding was he received a position as trans. Sec for the splitting/ ratfucking he did to to the progressives in 2020.

He’s not a leader in the sense that he has been elected to any form of leadership position.

In a democracy, this is how we define what a leader is. We elect them. Appointments to the children’s table of cabinet positions don’t count. Hillary, for all her faults, at least she did win a Federal election. And her cabinet appointment was material, not a handout for a job done. Even the ag secretary is a much bigger deal than the trans secretary.

Other being constantly elevated as if his voice matters by corporate media, Buttigieg is a basically irrelevant failed candidate whose primary qualification is being a one-time mayor of a college town.

Op’s point was a challenge to the notion that Buttigieg is a leader of the Democratic party. They are getting briggaded for it.

Your response is a typical, two faced, backhanded way of dismissing the challenge. The kind of non-addiitve, toxic, snide, perspectives we always see from corporate democrats and their apologists. And its a legitimate question because obviously some media at least presents Buttigieg as a Democratic leader. And its a totally fair point to contend that Buttigieg is a leader for the Democratic party, if thats what you believe.

And since you are white knighting on their behalf, its totally fair to bring the question to you:

Do you see Buttigieg as a Democratic leader?

Hi, just wanted to check in here. Are you familiar with the concept called “hyperbole” and a “figure of speech”? Figurative language is a thing that people use sometimes, and some people say that perhaps he is using that here. Many people are saying that you can say things like this and still imagine worse

Perhaps if you have other issues with him, those should be expressed rather than just taking a statement like this super literally

And besides, I believe in FOSS not in closed source, so-called secret developments. When it comes to cryptography and security, open source is the best way to go.

          No it doesnt.

But there was a simultaneous hack from a person in the US military that proved they had weak passwords and didn’t have 2 factor security on their devices.

Same time that happens, the Chinese were identifying these same devices and those of many others in government. And the official account is “nobody knows how much access they had with their hack.”. This is clearly a very serious hack.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they learned nothing, apparently.

The only way to respond is to blitzkrieg the media cycle and get them talking about something else outrageous.
