Why not just really say fuck and pardon anyone for any crimes committed in the act of crossing a border?
Like, even if Bidens only course of actions is pardons (it’s not, the article gets into options) why isn’t he pardoning more people?
There are things he could be doing, he’s just not…
But there’s a very slim chance he might if people make enough noise.
A huge portion (33-48%) of illegal immigrants did not cross the border illegally. They just overstayed their visas.
an immigration lawyer told me that more come through LAX airport than the entire northern and southern borders
That used to be true. It’s less true now. I thought so too, but looked it up to verify before posting and it’s now about a third to a half of them
interesting update thanks
any executive order can be undone by another executive order, by design, he can do any damn thing he wants and be immune from prosecution (as long as it can be construed as an official action) by executive order but you have to know that someone, probably the snake Miller, will be tracking them and be writing the order to cancel it asap.
A pardon cannot be undone.
I really don’t think Biden cares enough.
Crossing the border without going through the proper process is illegal for a reason. Idk if having open borders is a good idea.
They are not open you… you… you… [redacted]
It is de facto open border if all border crimes are pardoned proactively.
Is that’s what is happening or going to happen?
I replied to a comment that said all border crimes should be pardoned. That is the context. But no, I don’t think all border crimes are going to be pardoned.
Borders were a mistake. Countries were a mistake.
