No, it just feels like that because you can’t keep it up anymore.

Not new, but my biggest one is physically placing things I need to remember in the path of my daily routine. Like if I need to remember to bring my laptop to work, I might put my computer mouse in my shoe.

Another one is moving things in stages. If I’m cleaning my living room and something needs to go upstairs, I’ll just leave it on the stairs for the next time I go up. Otherwise I’m likely to get distracted when I get up there and forget to continue cleaning downstairs.

I also try to have multiples of things that I use in multiple rooms or places. Like a small trashcan in all my rooms so I don’t have to go somewhere else to throw it away. It minimizes distractions and helps me stay focused on the current task.

I think spez hopes that their broken spirit and desperation will help drive people back to reddit, but a bot influx this huge, he must be legitimately worried.

It could also be spez bootlickers, but I would be shocked if someone who had the same knowhow to build a bot army was simultaneously stupid enough to not see the bigger picture happening at corporate.

I tried a weighted blanket once and never stopped. I had to travel for work and told myself it was silly to bring it, but then had a hard time sleeping without it. I added makeshift weight to my bedding - all the hotel towels, extra blanket, fake couch rug thing, and vowed I’d just travel with heavy luggage from now on.

I have taped my phone number to my monitor so that if I have to leave an unexpected voicemail, I can read it. Every. Time.

It used to take me most of the day to script and get up the courage to make a phone call, and if I unexpectedly got voicemail, I’d have to hang up, script a voicemail and call back to leave it. I’ve at least done it enough and listened to how others do it enough that I can do it now. But I still email way more, only call when I have to, and now worry about whether it will be the right time of day or.in the right point of their workflow for me to call. 🤦‍♀️
