Cycling might be.
Cycling the sport isn’t. The sheer volume of support cars, media cars, motorbikes at every race is utter insanity.
That’s before we get into the sponsorship from oil and chemical companies, and at least two sportwashing teams

Yeh, little worried dev is gonna get a huge bill from Reddit
It’s been very quiet on that front
A lot of people (myself included) are using a modded version of Infinity that allows you to put in your own API key.
I can’t decide. I have used Infinity for years on Reddit. Been using connect and liftoff for Lemmy.
In some ways it feels so warm and familiar to be on Lemmy in infinity, but in some ways, I’m thinking, it’s Lemmy, not Reddit, it shouldn’t feel like Reddit.
I’m very torn
Combination of constan tleft sided subscriptions list, and posts in overlay mode, really is a pleasure to use
For many years comodo firewall and AV were one of the best, least obtrusive and consistently did well in detection charts etc.
Then I stopped using Windows so no idea what they are like now
Instances can just defederate with those servers
I cannot fathom why they did not do what normal people do and rearrange the pepperoni prior to putting it in the oven.
All nextcloud data gets mirrored with rsync to a second drive, so it’s in 3 places, original source and twice on the server
Databases are backed up nightly by webmin to second drive
Then installations, databases etc are sent to backblaze storage with duplicati

All subdomains on apache proxies… its a bit of a mess though. Whenever it comes to update something I can never remember how I installed it. Theres a heady mix of script installs, deb installs, source installs. I’ve got Gitea ready to update but I have no idea what method I used to install it :')
I think Trump has prosecutor and prosecuted muddled up.
He does know its the Feds prosecuting him and not the other way round? right?
He will end up “compromising”.
You can block people, but only people without blue check marks.
Wanna harass someone, wanna be a troll, subscribe to Twitter blue and you can’t be blocked…
if its only thumbnails and only impacting that local instance i presume you can just cron to clear out old thumbnails regularly if space is a huge issue.
you are missing out if you havn’t played unity. The social stealth in it, and the parkour especially is the best in the series, and the mission setup in unity is superb with multiple objectives you can complete to give the mission a different finish)
(and the Jack the Ripper dlc in Syndicate is the best DLC of any of the games)
There’s two, and both pretty controversial.
Horizon Zero Dawn - I love open world games, I love exploring, I love grind, this is someone who has played every Assassins Creed, the Tomb Raider Series, Ghost Recon series, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and goodness knows what else. I did about 10-12 hours of Zero Dawn and it just bored me. I think the worst thing for was the character acting, I found everyone very wooden, or just had really silly voices (like Aloy’s father or whoever he was, sounded so well spoken). I found it grating. And the landscape, maybe I needed to open up more of the world, but I just didn’t find it very interesting. Sure, Robot’s are fun, but, even they were kinda dull.
The Last of Us - Just couldnt get into it. I just found it very tedious (played about 8 hours). I dont know why it just didn’t resonate with me at all. I think where AC, Tsushima etc offer escapism, TLOU being set in a regular city didnt really excite me to go out an explore. When the tv show started I thought i would give that a go hoping it would get me into playing the game, but i got bored with that about 40 minutes into episode 1 as well :(
This is kinda what I hoped Survivor was going to be.
I’m on a pretty big downer with Jedi: Survivor. I had held off buying a PS5 till there were a few games I wanted to buy and eventually bought it with Survivor as my first game. What a disappointment. Just so buggy and I have quit playing half way through while we wait for them to fix the “Bounty” issue which has been going on for a month now and they done nothing to fix.
Its put a real dampener on the whole excitement of buying a PS5, rescued somewhat by Rift Apart and Marvel Avengers which I have surprisingly enjoyed.
I am probably a UBI mark though. I’ve played the entire AC franchise except for ACIII which is next on my list, I love Ghost Recon, (and there were HUGE ghost recon similarities) and I do generally enjoy Ubi games, so its not a surprise that straight away I saw familiar mechanics that appealed.
But yeh, it looks great. Only slight gripe was I hope that the space travelling aspects have 1st person/cockpit view a’la No Mans Sky rather than 3rd person. Ive always found 3rd person flight a bit janky
The worst thing about those sites is in most cases it results in the developer being ripped off because the keys are either stolen or purchased using stolen credit cards.
Countless devs have said they would rather people pirate their games than buy keys from those sites
