We need to greatly reduce meat consumption in order to make our planet sustainable for human life. You can start at your own pace, but it’s easier than ever with all of the meat alternatives these days.

Pressuring Democrats to deliver for the working class is a good thing. Organizing around these issues show them that they’re important and not a liability, but an asset. My guess is they’re taking big insurance money and that’s why they aren’t going to deliver on healthcare save for some very minor changes.

Also the first time a house speaker has been defeated in their primary in Hawaii history. Her opponent also outspent her 2:1, and had the backing of Senator Brian Schatz, the governor, lieutenant governor, and the mayor. Pretty incredible odds.

All she had to do was say “Two wrongs don’t make a right. End the genocide.” Netanyahu has a warrant for arrest by the international criminal court. Israel’s only remaining ally is the US at this point.

I listened to it. It was an OK speech, but it willfully ignored the agency of Israel in the destruction of the Palestinian people. She called Hamas terrorists, but what about Israel? What do you call an administration and a nation’s army that’s committing genocide? She gave no scoldings to Israel, which to me is weak sauce.

I like the guy, but I think they’re going to want someone who can bring in a swing state.

I have a feeling the DNC shills we’ve been seeing so much of are actually part of a DNC campaign. Creating a Lemmy account is free and they could easily contract a company to astroturf as has been done in the past.

There’s no way Biden can win. According to polls, he’s losing all the swing states, and that was before this debate took place. The DNC is going to give us Trump because they are elitist and don’t actually care about democracy.

I had a grandmother who died at 88 but was still sharp until that day she passed. It’s clear Biden needs to retire, he’s cognitively unable to act as a president, the media and Democratic establishment need to stop gas lightning us.

This is an honest analysis, imo. Partisans aren’t inclined to embrace truth telling if it’s not in their favor, which I think is why the neo liberal tv networks don’t invite him on. He doesn’t care about making Democrats look good and the “blue no matter who” crap. I like him, he’s not a robot like every anchor on CNN/MSNBC, but I understand he’s not for everybody.
