Are you in Europe? If so, did you deny GDPR permissions?
Hi! I’m British, I like music (grime, garage, hip-hop, R&B, and more!). I like art, culture, history, politics, & doomscrolling memes.
Also a touch of programming :)

Yes, but it’s also associated with libertarian types who used to populate Reddit back in the day before it became mainstream.
Downside is you aren’t supporting the Dev. Can buy it if you want.
Block them. Google NextDNS, takes about 10 seconds to set up with a simple change in your phone’s DNS settings.
I’ve used this, works fantastic
It’s bugged. Change your default comment sort to ‘New’, fixed it for me.
Your problem is browsing Everything. There’s a lot of content on Lemmy that isn’t meta-posting - you just need to curate your own feed, like on Reddit.
Subscribe to some more casual places for a funner frontpage.
meh, it’s a bit shit if the original dev wants to make his own Lemmy app.
Obtainium has a setting just for issues like this.
Click on Infinity for Reddit in the app >click edit button bottom left > change Version Detection option to Use Release Date As Version
Worth noting it is not affiliated with the original dev. This guy forked it and took the name.
I can’t google and find the answer to these simple questions. Discord is inherently worse than an open forum for that reason. It shouldn’t be used for Support or updates at all.
Worth noting the app is not affiliated with the reddit app, it’s forked by someone else.
Yep, using “Top” or “Hot” comment sorting (your default can be changed in the settings) results in comment orders being all borked. Just sort by New for now.
what blocker do you use? that’s what I see with nextdns
Discord is a closed garden, it’s awful for things like this.
This can be deceiving for link aggregator apps, because it’ll also pick up trackers that other sites are using, and not the app itself.
Yep, but you still see a big ass block where the ad would be, which isn’t the case in any other Lemmy app.
Very good! Nice to see the /c/ link issue fixed too.
