Do you think there are situations where conscription is appropriate?
When the country is doing stupid shit like invading Iraq I’m opposed to the draft. When it’s defending against an existential threat which is on native soil, I don’t have as much sympathy for people avoiding the draft.
No, but if you make the device cold it generates wind
Hey I also eat ferns when I’m sick
With the space shuttle they observed an issue on launch, looked into it and decided the shuttle was ok to return, then it blew up. Not saying that’s what will happen here, but has to have occurred to the astronauts that it’s happened before.
Got to be nerve wracking as the astronaut waiting to ride back.
Thanks! I’m personally in favor of doing things for knowledge’s sake. That said, what is the stated practical benefit when some government body is writing a check?
If there’s one thing I learned from Civ V it’s you have to get your population numbers up in order to produce enough settlers
I was hoping they’d talk about click farms. Just a group chat where people interact with each other’s stuff seems kind of quaint

Christianity asking you to accept the trinity is asking you to accept a logical impossibility. There’s no point in trying to figure it out, the entire exercise is to make you accept it on faith and not question it. It’s not big and profound, it’s a stupid waste of time like that mind trap they made for the Borg on star trek where they would get stuck thinking about it so much they’d die.
Yeah, what’s the upside here?
If my car started playing music automatically I think I’d keep it on. But seems like poor form to waste time actually putting music on. I assume every second counts
My last company sued at least two former employees that I know about. The thing with non competes isn’t that the company makes money back by suing. It’s more worth it for them to file suit if the executive’s pride is hurt or if they want to send a message to other employees.
Looks cool, thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I guess you could argue it needs more contributors, but sort of like Wikipedia, suppose it saw wide adoption. Is it just a learn to code type thing? I guess better that Wikimedia runs it than stack exchange or whoever.
