      To be fair, it’s usually safer for pedestrians when a speeding vehicle is further to the left/in the center turning lane. But there wasn’t much reason for the cop to speed in the first place…

    In NYC there is a standing rule against cops giving chase in their vehicles, because statistics show cop chases are a large contributor to deaths, injuries, and property damage.

    They commonly flaunted the rule under Eric Adams (Himself a cop), predictably resulting in more carnage. Hopefully the Mamdani administration reigns them back in.
