With 60 days left in the campaign, election denial group True the Vote has rolled out a new app so supporters can share, boost, and report election conspiracies.

They have a website of their own. I was confused as fuck by the title and surprised that Apple/Google would approve anything so controversial for their stores and… they didn’t (or at least it wasn’t attempted). I know everything is an app now to the tech illiterate but can’t we hold journalists to a higher standard?!
They say they’ll release a native app, but I’d be surprised if Apple lets them on their store.
Theoretically, it could be a PWA.
They could also do what porn sites do and just release the apk on their own site to download. Not sure what the Apple equivalent is, if any.
iOS 17.4 is able to side load apps in the EU as of early this year. But everywhere else no.
