zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto politics @lemmy.world•This viral video has people talking about Christianity versus ‘MAGA Christianity’4·10 days agoI’m sorry, my English must suck quite more than I knew: my message is in favour of kicking the oppressive and intolerant. The thing I oppose is to consider by default that the Christian who published the Tik Tok comment tolerated the MAGA Christian, when they probably didn’t.
zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto politics @lemmy.world•This viral video has people talking about Christianity versus ‘MAGA Christianity’3·11 days agoSo Jesus didn’t come for them.
zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto politics @lemmy.world•This viral video has people talking about Christianity versus ‘MAGA Christianity’4·11 days agoSorry, English, as you probably understood, is not my first language. But I think my idea is quite simple: asking all Christians to eject the MAGA from their churches is like asking all Muslims to eject terrorists from their mosques, or all Jews to stop supporting the Gaza genocide. A lot already do, so that demand makes no sense, and is just bigotry.
So, when someone posts: “As a Christian, I don’t think you can be both MAGA and Christian,” answering saying that all people eating with Nazis are Nazis makes no sense and is bigotry, as the author of the comment doesn’t necessarily prays with people supporting Trump. They even probably doesn’t.
zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto politics @lemmy.world•This viral video has people talking about Christianity versus ‘MAGA Christianity’3·11 days agoBut it was a generalization all the same. Who says there are MAGAists in the church of the person who commented that one can’t be Christian and MAGA?

zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•This guy. Abrahemic religions are mental illness and a plague against progressEnglish4·21 days agoBecause if you did, you’d learn that Muslims are normal people. Some are assholes, some are not. Some are straight and homophobic, others are proudly queer. You could argue that Islam is bad because it encourages homophobia, that’s an acceptable opinion. But saying that all Muslims are homophobic is bigoted and just plain wrong. The difference between legitimate criticism and hate is not hard to understand… unless one wants to blur the line, probably to hide one’s hatred.

zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•This guy. Abrahemic religions are mental illness and a plague against progressEnglish17·21 days agoCriticizing an ideology or a religion, Islam like the others, is always okay. But considering every Muslim as a violent, hating, misogynistic, homophobic, racist and sexist person is bigotry.

Where did I admitted that?
Disagreements on opinions and beliefs are sane, normal and even cool. I love a good debate! Disagreements on facts aren’t.
But you’ve already condemned any representative representative body administrating things
No, I never did that.
I never watched an X-men, nor the old Dune, so for me Patrick Stewart is Jean-Luc Picard.
