Kids up to 90, he’s a really great musician and I’ve never seen more 60-year olds praising rap than in the comments on his stuff.
I don’t think he used any of Moby’s beats or instrumentation, just the 1930s sample and laid his own beats; but yeah, both their songs and Natural Blues are great and share a similar tone.
Pretty please, fuck off with the AI. It’s really not something I need from a browser, don’t inflate your download size for a screen reader, just MAKE IT OPTIONAL in every way.

This is a rare “downvoted to negative” post in music, I guess people have strong feelings for him.
At first I was like “challenge accepted, I love good bimbocore”, but after listening you were right, I do kind of hate this.
Absolutely brilliant. They didn’t even have their two choral voice guys (they had covid at the time), but they have great stage presence and energy and the sound was remarkably crisp for such distortion-heavy music in such a small venue.
I’m glad I’m not the only one into the old British Guy music. Pete and Bas rule and I like the Northern Boys alright too.
Well, Sindhu World is creme de la creme of the UK drill scene at the moment. There’s no one of any age who makes better, more playful / fun and in the case of Northern Boys / Norman Pain more relatable (to the common non-gangster person) rap - I came by this opinion by systematically combing through Pressplay Media and GRM Daily after I saw Pete and Bas for the first time. Also, both 91shots and Handsome Dexter produce top notch industrial-strength instrumentals - I give a slight edge to Dexter for playfulness and crazy pockets he carves in unexpected places.
Though, after listening to it all, I have to say Norman Pain hits especially hard. It reminds me of Alice in Chains in the nineties coming as a counter to all the glam prancing around.
They’re one of my favourite bands ever, seen them live in a small club in Zagreb a few years ago.
This is a good thread
Yeah, Khruangbin was much more my jam while they were just surf-y instrumentals, this last album I can appreciate, but don’t really play for fun. This does fill that hole and it’s incredibly produced and mixed besides being a wonderful melody.
Yeah, it’s definitely the most approachable they’ve been and it used to be my favorite of theirs for a long time, nowadays it’s definitely “Hustle Bones”.
It’s just rtorrent in a detached tmux window.
Well, it dropped like an hour ago.
