You might have luck with some of that intimidation with just repetition/experience. Like I hardly get scared away from metalwork anymore because I’ve been doing a ton of it this year, but I’m still really slow at and kinda scared of painting.
The big killer for me is when anything starts going better then expected, and now I’m suddenly more worried about ruining it than I am excited/confident to finish it. I try to remind myself as often as possible that I stand to learn more from one failure than I could from ten successes.
Anywho I’m definitely rambling now, sorry for that lol
Yeah I still don’t know how to make half-finished projects more exciting than new ones. That might be a forever problem, but let’s just say the science isn’t out yet. Gotta stay hopeful lmao
I read that telling someone about a project triggers the same neural responses that finishing that same project would do, and can make you more prone to leaving it unfinished. I’ve started doing my best to keep super quiet about stuff if it’s a project that I really want/need to actually finish. It’s been working surprisingly well for me!
I love the track pads. They make navigating desktop mode actually bearable. With some qol tweaks to the mapping, I find them downright enjoyable to use.
Without them the deck wouldn’t feel nearly as standalone-capable. Hardly any application in games that don’t need a cursor though, I’ll give you that for sure.
side-eyes the MCU
They do that mario party game where you trace the outline
Hey just curious, did you like burn cards?
I thought I hated them, but after playing like a hundred hours of titanfall 2 I’m finding that I actually really miss the little complexity they added to individual games. My FOMO brain was constantly worried I’d be hurting for specific bonuses, but they were passed out like fucken candy and I remember almost always having every option I could want.
Everyone talks about avoiding oculus products because of the walled garden of available apps, but these are gonna change the world? It’s just a bigger garden with a bigger wall, I just don’t see it happening.
Oof, homeboy is chronically online too. Took a curious scroll through his comment history and he averages at least 50 a day. I can’t imagine a healthy psyche behind that keyboard.
So is the story believable or not?
You’re literally just being a pissant, kindly go fuck yourself.
What is so obviously made up about this story, the part where they worked in retail, or the part where they had illegally parked cars towed? Maybe it was the part where a third party was also upset about the illegally parked cars, much like everyone in this thread? All seems pretty vanilla to me.
🤡 this is you right now
Stephen King’s IT was in my middleschool library, go fuck yourself.
I had READ a myriad of descriptions of hererosexual relationships by the time I was entering high school, it’s EVERYWHERE. Couple that with an overabundance of shitty people who think the sexuality of others is their business, and it was a REAL fucking struggle to figure out how/why I don’t fit into every single portrayal of a relationship I’ve ever seen.
We gonna fire that second cop too or is he just stay unnamed? These texts were uncovered by an unrelated investigation, not fucking reported by either of the racists giggling about them. Both these men are scum and belong nowhere near a position of power.
There’s a niche. I’ve only ever driven older cars with less than stellar stereo setups for phone play. The idea is getting a small-footprint and quick to navigate stereo interface without actually having to replace whole ass stereo, and I find it pretty appealing!
For me the problem was connectivity. I assumed the car thing would act as a go-between for my phone and stereo, and it would remain always connected to the car audio system. Instead it’s just another thing you’re connecting to. It actually slowed me down significantly more than it helped.
If it could send/receive audio and just used your phone as a source, that’d be ideal for me. Like a suped up bluetooth receiver with spotify connectivity.
You literally can’t buy them anymore! Spotify quietly canned the project. Support pages are still up but I can’t find a purchase option anywhere.
I bought one pretty early into launch and even then they were already heavily discounted. It was a weird choice for a peripheral, but personally I really wish they had tried a bit harder instead of giving up outright
you’re responding to a single sentence out of every message, but sure.
Oh for sure! The issue is that one of those meanings can also imply sentience, and news outlets love doing that shit. I talk to people every day who fully believe that “AI” text transformers are actually parsing human language and responding with novel and reasoned information.
