Is this gonna fix the stuttering when I open the overview?
I use GrapheneOS and all I miss from Android is the custom lock screen clocks and pulling images from any app using the recent apps page.

Your first proposal still falls victim to the fact that screen recording exists.
Like others have said, definitely try a few distributions out via USB before committing. Also, you can dm me if you need help beyond what you find online.

Doesn’t affect it at all if you use the Google camera app. You can restrict it’s access to the internet as well if you’re concerned about it sharing.
Pixels have GrapheneOS, that’s good enough for me.
+1 for Fedora Silverblue (and, by extension, the other atomic desktops)! I’ve been using Kinoite for a few months now and it might be the easiest time I’ve had on a distro yet.
