I mean you do you, but it has happened in places with safe drinking water. Apparently the amoeba can live in the distribution system? I dunno I’m not an expert just isn’t a thing I would gamble on

This isn’t funny, I’ve reported this guy to Lemmy. Why do people keep up voting him?
Make sure to boil ALL water first before doing this to avoid brain eating amoeba.
A one-day minor downtick isn’t a trend when it’s been up day-over-day for a while now. I’m sure the user counts will ebb and flow over time, but as long as the community stays healthy and the big social media companies keep being greedy, I think this platform has a good shot at long-term viability.
I switched just because of the difference the chipset makes. I’ve been running windows for gaming and Linux for personal shit forever - I’m not generally a fan of Apple and their walled garden business mod. But the MacBook pro with the m2 will run my dev environments and teams meetings from 8-5 all day on battery and still has a good 30-40% left at the end of the day. It’s not even competitive right now unfortunately, since I work remote I like to float around and work from different places and not having to worry about charging is a game changer.
I was interested about this game by the article, but what is FACEIT?
It’s hard. People tend to settle into their routines and go through the motions of they’re life - people are no longer thrust into new stages of life together (high school / college / start of career). That being said, people still make time for their hobbies, and are typically very excited to meet other people who share the same interests and hobbies as them. Find a hobby or activity that you like, or think you might like, and find some local groups that do that thing. Could be hiking, gardening, sewing, rock climbing, whatever! Just find a local group of people and give it a shot. Friendships can happen naturally from that. Some will be more acquaintances, but as you get to meet more people it becomes more likely that some of them will stand out as true friends.
I’m not an apple fan at all, but switched to a pro book for the M2s. The difference in power consumption and battery life is just on a whole other level from everything else out there.
Thanks for the input, yeah just rest apis over a postgres db is pretty standard k8s setup, so unless there’s something weird in the middle it would work fine. Curious why the OG design leaned into sockets over rest though, that’s an interesting choice.
Is there a place I can read more about the horizontal scaling issues lemmy has?
I subscribe to nebula for this reason, directly support creators and it’s very reasonably priced.
Bless the maker and his water
I canceled after the password sharing crackdown. I realized how little i use it anymore, definitely not worth $20 a month.
Also pretty sure it’s just lemmy.ml, not all of the federated servers.
Where is the counter you’re referencing?
