Yeah, my degree is in comp sci and I am very aware of what is possible. 99.9999% of the time scripting just results in the desired content being covered by something unnecessary and making what the user is attempting to view/interact with jump to somewhere else against their wishes. This is absolutely the best usage of scripting I’ve ever seen on the web.

Im pretty well done with the established GOP, it just sucks because for anyone that isn’t very solidly left there is literally nothing that matches your views at all anymore. My wife is way further left than me but is still right of center by the current standards and is really struggling with not having any choices that she can actually support.

I moved here after he had already been elected and first saw ESJC gathering recall signatures while I was out shopping. When they said they were campaigning against a white supremacist I shrugged them off and kept shopping assuming it was standard hyperbole. A few days later I got around to googling him and realized he was an actual Nazi and was super surprised.

A relatively short drive in the US following the most built up and industrialized corridor in the country isn’t representative of viability. Hell just the 4 hour drive between my house in Oklahoma and Amarillo Texas gives me range anxiety in my gas powered Ford Focus due to how carefully I need to plan fuel stops to make it. Meanwhile going from one side of Texas to the other is the same distance as Boston to Florence SC; this country is absolutely huge.
Gasoline has 100 times the energy density of lithium ion batteries. From a technical standpoint, increasing capacity by 20% is a huge scientific breakthrough, the issue is that batteries are so much weaker/heavier that 20% is negligible. Going from 100 to 120 is a great increase but when you’re competing against something that is at 1000 it’s not even a drop in the bucket.

It’s like saying “I got drag slicks for my Pontiac” and having someone ask “aw nice, is it an aztek?” The WRX is literally named after and intended to be a consumer version of a WRC car, a crosstrek is meant for someone that thinks they might drive into a field to go to a concert once in the whole 6 years of owning it.
No, there are plenty of other rally vehicles, but a crosstrek isn’t one. You also realize that WRX stands for World Rally eXperimental. I also am not sure you know what rally racing is, I feel like you just think it’s a fun word for “off-road” but there are also tarmac stages where you don’t need ground clearance. The WRX is literally a road version of a rally car, the crosstrek is a CUV with ground clearance, that is literally just the point I was making. Either way rally doesn’t mean off-road, it is a specific type of racing that sometimes goes off-road, but is actually on roads the vast majority of the time, just not always paved.

Rally is far more than just being able to go offroad. A crosstrek is fine at going offroad, but it is far from ideal for anything rally.
