This is the sort of anime you show to your friends who aren’t anime fans. It’s wonderfully paced with nuanced characters, has an excellent English dub, has a heartfelt beginning, and occasionally reminds us that this is a Studio Madhouse production with some great action scenes.
And best of all, it’s not ridiculously horny like a ton of other anime. It’s not merely a great anime, it’s just a great show, period.
Man, I just think about the opening for “Would?” by Alice in Chains. People who underappreciate the bass haven’t heard that song.
Another Tuesday means running my 5 WoW characters through Antorus for 5 more shots at getting a red Scythe of the Unmaker
I have a couple.
One is a Great Old One pact Warlock, who finally found that tome of infinite eldrich knowledge. When he read it, it broke a piece of his brain. It didn’t kill him and somehow didn’t drive him completely insane, but now he has difficulty controlling his mouth and facial expressions. He can’t control what he says anymore or when he says it, and is normally spouting an endless stream of eldrich gibberish. He gets around this by communicating telepathically, since he can no longer speak normally.
But sometimes…the gibberish starts making sense, and that part of him can still exert some control over the body…
The other is a heavy metal College of Valor Bard from the far north. Basically think fantasy Nathan Explosion who doesn’t quite understand how his music makes people’s heads explode, or why he has a bunch of skeleton groupies and roadies following him around. But he also doesn’t care, since he dumps Wisdom and Intelligence.
SPLIT YOUR LUNGS WITH BLOOD AND THUNDER
I just hope and pray that when Gabe Newell decides to retire, he hands the reins for Valve off to someone like-minded.
A huge part of the reason PC gamers have it so good is because GabeN refuses to sell Valve (and by extension, Steam) and also wants to deliver the best product possible. He’s content with merely making lots of money, instead of trying to squeeze every last cent out of Steam at the storefronts expense.
It looks to me like they’re reusing the Link’s Awakening map, like they did for BotW.
I’m gonna pick it up, if only to encourage Nintendo to give Zelda her own full-size, mainline game.
