Doubt is a sign of intelligence. Which can sometimes lead to confidence issues. Just try to keep things in perspective and not let doubt keep you from taking calculated risks. It’s when we allow ourselves to become paralyzed that things regress. A lot of it is environment as well so there’s no simple answer but I can assure you thet you’re not alone.

Depends on the line of work I suppose. Off the cuff? Nope. For the sake of the joke? Absolutely.

I was on tilt because I took the bait. And then I got confused because I’m like this doesn’t make sense gas is safe. And then I’m wondering why isn’t a pair of lungs on display not flagged as not safe for work. Then I looked at the forum and then I got even more confused because I’m stoned. And then I realize that’s a walnut and it’s time for a snack. A roasted one even. Boom roasted. What up. Peace out.

Yeah, I’m fine with the admins using some due diligence. There is some wild s*** out there that no one needs to see terrible and grotesque without warning. The most recent example that I came across was AI generated porn of “jailbait.”

Speaking only for myself but if content like that shows up in my feed I will not continue using Lemmy. So I am appreciative of the admins being proactive and if there’s something I want to find I’ll search for it but the example that I quoted showing up in my feed is absolutely unacceptable to me.

I’m not saying that piracy rises to the level of the quoted example but I don’t manage the server and I’m not willing to manage a server so if there are people out there willing to do it to spare me from nefarious things then power to them. They have to do what’s right and legal.

The entire discussion around " small town" is bs

I’m from a small town of 4,000 people in Northeast Texas and …in the late 90s…

Had to finish high school out of church because a kid literally burned down the school. He got expelled and on his way out the door he said I’m going to burn this m*********** to the ground and he did.

Person I went to school with got strung out on meth and decided to murder three gas station attendants.

So yeah the entire thing is stupid. As if protest and crime are new concepts due to a new world order brought about by liberalism.

These are serious issues no doubt but when I see all the memes about this song in particular all I can think about, " The sky is falling Chicken Little" or “if these kids could read they’d be angry” or “it’s funny until it happens to me”
