Probably depends where you live. In a big city I don’t think anyone would bat an eye, but in a small town in rural nowhere people would probably get upset right away.

That’s because the writer is trying to make it sound that way to get people to click the headline.
In reality, the 1,000 people were mostly just tagging the videos to help train future iterations of the model. It would have taken way more than only 1,000 people to actually run the technology as a mechanical turk.
Its just poor quality sensationalist journalism.
Ticketing people who don’t pay for parking is “bullying?”
This is pretty insulting to people who have actually suffered from real bullying. There’s plenty of real problems in the world to be righteously angry about. Maybe let’s not post shitty Facebook memes on Lemmy.
Nope, I haven’t. Only from you. You’re fighting strawmen you made up yourself once again.
LMAO you’re the guy on the Internet who claimed I was ignorant without any knowledge about me. If you want to make ad hominem attacks, don’t be surprised when you get them back. Can’t take your own medicine?
I’m sad ppl like you exist.
Did I say any of the things you listed were ok either? Its not “bottle rockets”. Innocent people lost their lives.
You’re lucky you’re priveleged enough to be able to maintain such a heartless worldview. I hope nothing so awful ever happens to you or those you love.
And yes, I do know where Mecca is. Its in Saudi Arabia next to the Red Sea. If you want to fight strawmen, then turn off the computer and go outside.
Does that make it ok? Answer: no. It doesn’t.
Nuance? On the internet? Get the fuck out of here.
My favorite ever Druid was a human named Cleetus Fernbottom. I modeled him after the idea of the swampbenders in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
He was middle aged, balding, spoke with a Southern accent and was about as wide as he was tall. He was from the swamp and loved all the critters there. But he was tricked into leaving for a life of adventure because his Druid Circle thought he was too dumb. He wasn’t the brightest, but he had a heart of gold.
Mechanically he was a Cirlce of the Moon Druid, and I mostly used Thorn Whip as my cantrip and Giant Toad as my wildshape. His primary function was CC.
And a disruptive protest just makes people hate you and your cause.
I use foundry and love it.
I have it highly configured - content is imported from DNDBeyond. Combat is mostly automated. The players choose a target and click their attack or spell, and Foundry automatically rolls the attack, compares against AC and auto-rolls and applies damage on a hit. AOE effects let the player place a template.
Handouts are neatly organized in the Journal tab and I also make playlists that auto play when I move us to a new scene (e.g. activating a random encounter scene starts my combat playlist on shuffle).
My players love it. With that said, I’m a software developer by profession, and all these things take a ton of work to get going and can be buggy at times.
Other non 5E games sometimes have great official support on Foundry, but for 5E you’re on your own.
Damn this happened to me last month and just today I got pissed looking for my Chex Mix.
My Bose QC35s have lasted 7 years so far, and don’t show any sign of problems. I use them heavily, wearing them 5+ hours a day typically.
I replace the earcups once every year for about $15, that’s it.
Tell me more about my opinions and what they are. I don’t think you understand what the word nuanced means. Especially if you are proponent of a nuclear scary and scary is bad mindset.
Just as an illustration, you just told me you didn’t like me putting words in your mouth, then 2 sentences later put words in my mouth. I think you need to reevaluate how you interact with others, and try to treat people the way you want to be treated.
Nope. The starting point of your and my interaction was you making a snarky meme containing 0 facts that implied anyone who thinks nuclear reactors are scary or have risks are so dumb they can’t tell the difference between 2 copies of the same picture.
Then when I called you out on your juvenile behavior and the emotional nature of your argument, you implied I had no reading comprehension and told me to read your other comments.
To use your phrase, “the facts are” that it only takes one bad-enough meltdown to potentially obliterate life on the planet, and that makes nuclear power of any kind a VERY complicated topic. Nuclear power CAN be very useful, but it can also be very dangerous.
Pretending like its a magic bullet is infantile and only harms your cause.
Don’t like my ad-hominem attacks against you? You’re getting treated the way you treated all of Lemmy when you posted that dumb meme. Now you know how you made everyone else feel first.
Your opinion is not nuanced. Maybe practice what you preach.
Agreed. Tipping is stupid. Abolish it and charge what the service costs.
Your post is clearly based on emotion only, so I don’t think you’re doing yourself many favors trying to be sarcastic here.
Millenial representative #2: Completely agree. Gen Z is so sensitive, smart and respectful, I love them. I run a lot of tabletop RPGs like D&D and had an all-Gen Z group back in 2021. My favorite memory is them explaining the Ohio meme to me. The kids are alright.
I jokingly said “1999 Honda Fit” so many times that now they call me asking about that fictional car.
