Lemmy is very experimental, most of the settings you can make here don’t work most of the time.

fail2ban was the first thing we had installed, we have now added an additional layer ;)

At the moment, our DATATERM instance is running on a VPS at Hetzner with an ARM CPU.

Depending on the size, it is planned to move the instance to a server with more power at a later date.

We will discuss the further procedure internally.

There is a way to check if everything is running smoothly, mostly via an API directly from the software. I will soon when I find time create a status page for all the fun pages we have :)

Unfortunately, there are still a few small problems with the instance, what you describe we have also noticed.

There will be a few changes in short, I hope that the problem is eliminated. I’m not sure if the VM is too weak or the software is not good enough. By the way, we also have a !nightcitybar community here ;D

I would love to build one myself but I am too clumsy to solder :D
