  • I know, but thats still much better than it was before and I think we will slowly move towards full legalisation.

But seeds were actually always legal, you just werent allowed to plant them.

What is also good is that weed is no longer classified as a narcotic (Betäubungsmittel), so it can be prescribed like any other medicine. While medicinal Cannabis was legal before, the hurdles to get it were way too high.

  • I think that little piece of plastic doesnt really make a huge impact, its not a lot of plastic and we have so many other places where we could guide manufacturers to include less plastic in packaging.

Its much more energy intensive to produce a disposable vape, they contain more plastic, the battery has to be produced and its unlikely they end up in electronics recycling, where they belong.

  • I think you forgot the part where capitalism makes peoples life worse and worse, while at the same time conservative media blames the left for it, even if they are the cause.

Because in the End people dont vote for fascists because its funny, but because they believe they can get them out of a shitty situation (Fascism doesnt do that obviously, but people get blinded by propaganda).

We wouldnt have this issue today if politicians werent all neoliberal and actually cared about poor people.

Oh yeah I totally needed to learn about what a writer might have thought 200 years ago while writing EVERY SINGLE PAGE of his book, when I already knew that I wanted to do something with technology.

But we didnt have enough teachers for biology and physics and chemistry, so instead we got more literature.

I wonder where I (and our whole society) would be now if schools werent meant for preparing kids to transition into work, but instead about getting the full potential out of every kid.

Im German and I did learn English in school, but not really, because it was taught in a way that made me lose interest immediately.

I actually learned English when I started to watch Minecraft Youtubers in English because they had some interesting contraptions in their videos or something like that (Its been a while, I dont know exactly why I started watching them)

  • The contract to expand the coal mine was signed a long time ago, it wouldnt be signed now. RWE, who mines the coal there, would have to be compensated if they werent allowed to mine there.

The compensation would probably be so high that its cheaper to just build renewable energy elsewhere, and the wind turbines are at the end of their lifespan anyway.

I just hope that we dont get a right wing government anytime soon that gives out the next stupid contract to mine even more coal there.

Because, in the end we have more coal underground than we ever need or should use, its not a question of finding coal, but instead of how or if we should mine it.
