Same, I religiously buy every Pokemon game. But I sold my Switch and quit Nintendo altogether. No more Nintendo for me.

I will be banned from Lemmy. I cannot tell it.

Isn’t this the guy who raped an underaged girl?
Also, if you can, replace your ROM. OnePlus 9 doesn’t receive any updates anymore. It’s not secure on the stock rom. OP can consider LineageOS.
I feel they’ll sell less in quantity, but make money on the accessories? They did mention them specifically during the presentation of the iPhone 16 Air.
Yeah that’s worrying for both phones. OnePlus just doesn’t promise updates and longevity. The Fairphone does make these promises, but with a bad track record and the current hardware I’m not certain it will be useful very long.
Yes, that’s exactly it. I edited my post so everyone can give feedback to Google about for what it’s worth.
I used LineageOS for a long time on my OnePlus One and moved to iPhone since last year. Tried S24 ultra for a month, but I disliked a lot of things. Now I’m getting fed up with the walled garden and the aas kissing Tim Cook does in the White House. I prefer Chinese phones of American ones. Google is the only issue, but I know my way around Shizuku to uninstall bloatware/spyware from Google. But I’m worried apps like ReVanced, NewPipe and several F-Droid apps won’t work because of this dumb policy.
I personally want to keep using ReVanced, Newpipe and a lot of F-Droid apps. I’m just worried in the future it will all be taken away. I have two iPhones now. In the past I used Samsung, but didn’t like the multiple and double of everything. 2 app stores, 2 webbrowsers, 2 note taking apps, 2 mail apps. Some of it was deletable and some wasn’t. I do feel like OnePlus comes with less bloatware.
I especially feel like apple is opening up more and Google is closing down Android more. They’re moving to the same point in a spectrum. Which is IMO a false sense of freedom and ownership. It’s how dictators rule a country: you can do whatever you, but only if we like it.
I think they already did something to frustrate forks of Android not too long ago. Not sure what it was exactly, but for new updates developers now have to reverse engineer Google’s updates first before they can update their custom forks… I wish there was a kickstarter or something to create a third OS based on open and fair principles. One that’s actually usable with the most basic apps. I can do most with web apps, but not everything.
I went ahead and installed the beta. I thought I’d hate it, but I’m honestly very surprised how beautiful and clean it looks. No problems with readability or whatsoever. I’m on the latest public beta and I don’t notice any phone breaking bugs. If they manage to fix the small things, it might just be a very stable release this year.
There is hardly any option that’s not Google or Apple. At least the brown tongue Tim Cook (from all the Trump ass licking) isn’t Google, the bigger evil. The day I have a viable option, is the day I’ll throw Apple in the garbage.
I haven’t encountered a troll yet and the encountered bots so far are useful repost bots. Reddit is just filled with obnoxious people that I couldn’t stand, moderators with small dick energy that moderate to whatever rules they prefer (like permanent bans for using very common non-targeted slurs) and just annoying trolls on subs like WorldNews and Canada that get away with racist shit all the time.
I was worried at first that Lemmy would be basically dead compared to Reddit. But holy hell, its active enough and its qualitatively better than Reddit could ever be. I never realized how shit it was until I actually decided to leave permanently.
For mobile I use Mlem and for web I use Photon, which is more beautiful than any other social media has ever been.
I meant to say I used to buy all games, but as of a few months ago (their entire attitude with Palworld) made me decide to sell my Switch and accessories. For the first time in my life, I won’t buy a Pokemon game.
