Ive been trying out nouveau with mesa 24.1, wayland seems better than last time I tried it out on proprietary nvidia drivers. Only issue I’ve notice is that mouse movement feels weird and performance drops when you move the mouse.

1·9 months agoI haven’t noticed any performance issues (2070 Super/Ryzen 3600). I dont have that many plugins though.
I have, I didn’t like it that much but its better than deadbeef.
I did try running foobar under wine but it just sucked, I have also tried deadbeef but its really lacking features and the GUI sucks. I ended up using musicbee through wine, it was a hassle to setup but now it just works for me and I like it better than foobar.
The new steamdeck oled has a peak brightness of 1000nits so I’m pretty sure its real HDR, and in the games I’ve tried it does look nice.
I can’t stop looking at it, HDR with oled’s black levels looks sooooo damn beautiful.
