I’m with you! The show wasn’t perfect but it was cool to see a crew explore before the prime directive , stable transporters and the federation. Tons of opportunities to explore that further.

I was one of three women in my year who graduated in CS at my university. I did most of my course work at home…trying to be one of the guys and make sure kindness wouldn’t be considered flirting made for a weird 4 years. No horror stories to tell though , just plenty of awkwardness.
I used to have the “Apple for hardware , google for software” mentality. I’d use google mail, calendar, maps, drive, chrome…on my apple products.
But recently I’ve noticed myself slowly migrate to Apple. I have Apple One family (not premier ) which is worth it IMO.
Apple Maps feels less invasive than Google maps and they’ve upped their game recently.
Safari has become my default browser with Ecosia as the default search engine. Love that Safari shares tabs across devices.
I still have Google mail and calendar installed though. I prefer the UI.
The copy paste ability across devices is something I use daily too.
This episode reminded me of the Original Series “This Side of Paradise” and it made me wonder if we will hear more about Leila Kolomi the biologist. Leila talks about her falling in love with Spock 6 years prior….which would be in the timeline of SNW!
Well, shit.
I don’t get a ton of satisfaction or have patience learning rules of complex games anymore. I decided to embrace games that have tough choices but with super simple mechanics instead.
Games like Scout, The Crew, Wingspan…easy to teach and fun to master.
