Uh, you just have to take a look at recent developments with Unity and Adobe to see that closed-source software can be a huge problem?
Jellyfin has a watch-together function but to set all that up will probably be even more complex than the “complex” options …
That is amazing!
Though I personally don’t need this (atm) I love these kind of posts, thank you very much for taking the time to write it! Share the knowledge! 😸
Toxicity might also be a concern if you compost it by throwing it into nature. This is my big gripe with all these alternatives: Are they less harmful than (micro)plastic?
Any news on Bios updates for Linux though?
Easy fix: stop noise-polluting (by driving cars etc) during the day so they can sing in peace!
Edit: Dang, read “sleep” instead of “sleep in”.

Black Mirror is not an instruction manual, people. Quite the opposite. Can we stop trying to make every episode real?
It’s just like carheads not understanding that good bike infrastructure would be actually beneficial for them as we because it means less cars (and bikes) on the road, so less congestion overall. Everybody wins!
Amazing article, thanks for sharing it! I love (making and eating) bread and anime but this somehow flew completely past me …
If you have the time please tell us how you solved it, it might be helpful for other people in the future with the same problem.
There’s apparently also breastmilk ice-cream!
Joke’s on you, sun, we’ll make this planet inhospitable long before you can get us!
Yeah, I heard that the placebo effect for pain meds is stronger in the US (than in Europe?) because there’s more advertisment for it in the US (how they made sure this is causation and not correlation I have no idea, though …)
Well as long as someone got even richer with it, it’s all working as intended, right?
Mh, I ran multiple Docker containers on a 4 a few years ago (Jellyfin, Arrs, Syncthing, Portainer etc). It’s certainly possible, I didn’t notice it being that slow but switched to a NUC since because I a few things I wanted didn’t have ARM builds and other stuff.
I wonder if the Dwarf Fortress Steam Release has something to do with this … But it feels like the timeline might not check out?
I hate this, I don’t know about this specifically but usually it would maybe not be easy but doable to do things right because (FOSS) solutions exist but thanks to politics, bureaucracy and capitalism it always ends up as a giant trainwreck of bullshit (with weird glitches where they get it right once every thousand tries like with the Covid app in Germany).
