I’ve spent hours using the phone finder at gsmarena and not being happy with the less than 20 results I get.

Closest is maybe the Samsung S25 but it’s still too big. Also I don’t want to drop $500 on a phone. Anything over $200 is too much.

My boomer parents think less of Trump after this spat. They agree the 3.8 trillion spending bill is ridiculous, and they also think DOGE was doing good by cleaning out fraud and corruption. It’s more than that. There are lots of things I want to do that I just can’t do. I’ve spent a lot of time and effort learning to program, and suck at it. I can’t program the things I want to make, and it feels bad that I’m no good at it. I spent months trying to learn to do one thing and while I reached the point I could copy and paste code that would do it, I had no clue why the code did what it did. I wanted to understand why it was so complicated, when what I wanted to do was from my human point of view, so simple. I got frustrated and ended up shelving it, and never went back.

I still get frustrated when I think about it. There is a indie game dev festival where people will get together to code games from scratch in like 24 hours. Manlybadasshero has shown some of their works on his youtube channel. There are people out there who are so good at coding and I’m having this monumental challenge with the basic stuff. It just drives home how dumb you are.

It is a disgusting abomination. I support DOGE because I wanted cuts. So what do they do? They save a little money cracking down on social security fraud, and then pass this disgusting behemoth 3.8 trillion dollar budget.

It’s like biden never left office. There’s no fucking way they meet the 2% inflation target after flooding the economy with another 3.8 trillion dollars. We’re right back on track for hyperinflation. The same way that every other failed republic died. You can’t spend your way out of currency debasement. It just accelerates the process.

What they need to do is spend less. Get that budget deal under 1 trillion dollars. They need to cut 3 trillion in spending. They won’t do that because it would mean stuffing less pork into their barrels and pockets. All our representatives are corrupt and they all have friends and pet projects and hands in the cookie jar. So we’re on a train with no brakes, going headfirst into hyperinflation. History repeats.

This is true. I’ve been grieving the loss of Isekai Demon Waifu, which shut down only a few days ago on the 19th of this month. I had been playing it over 3 years, and had unlocked most of the girls, become the #1 on my server, and had grown attached to seeing my harem girls every night when I play the game before bed. I missed the server shutdown notification and I was messed up the next day. It hit me hard.

I hope there is another harem game with succubi and monster girls. IDW had a lot of charm. The music, art style, aesthetic. Amazing monster girls. I’m going to miss seeing Ephinas, Fiadum, Hastia, Scardia, Palotti, Ymir, and all the others.

It doesn’t seem fair that we can spend years of our life, hundreds or even thousands of dollars, make a game experience part of our lives, and then one day it just goes poof and it’s all gone. Part of you vanishes in that moment. It’s like a bandaid being ripped off a wound, or a light in your life going out. Because someone else decided it cost too much to keep a server running?

They should be required to transition the game into an offline mode!
