Like there weren’t warning signs before? She was even re-elected. Colorado is getting what they asked for with this idiot, and yeah, I kind of feel like they deserve it. The most foolish are the ones that didn’t even vote. I hate bad politicians, but if she betrayed your expectations you’re just not even remotely paying attention. Voters need to bear some of the responsibility for their own mistakes.

The main problem is that people in Colorado voted for her. Vaping is harmful and it’s a problem for her apparently and could potentially influence others. The pda stuff is icky but more of a social norms issue - so yeah, it’s next on the list. I’m still just utterly repulsed by the main problem though.

Do you have any idea how easy it is to calculate the success of a reboot? They are not aiming for awesome with these. They just need it to meet the lower end of the estimate of people that say they would watch a reboot of a familiar popular show. These are zero risk endeavors. Blame statistics and big data. Let’s not forget that monitary structures are currently backed by governments, crypto offers a way out of the risks associated with that structure as well. Of course if crypto ever takes off it will end up controlled by corporations which is not inherently better, but at least it offers a choice / way out from governmental whims.

A lot of technological changes start as things trying to find problems to solve - that’s often how discovery works.

Yep. People definitely want to colonize the first one. The only thing keeping apartments off that location is strict governmental regulation of space like that. The desire is definitely there though.

How did you buy drugs online before crypto? I think it’s made it much easier. Also for international transactions of large sums I used to pay fees for services and crypto allows for an easy universal standard with no middle men. Micropayments never caught on, but it would be a nice solution for that as well. This argument that we already have money, we don’t need different money never flew with me. Crypto has its place, it was just abused as an investment commodity way too early and this massive inflation completely suffocated any practical application.
