FYI, you can run Heroic in game mode by adding it as a non-Steam game and install from there without having to go into desktop mode. It’s nice to have options though
As someone who has never heard of Graal, despite being plenty old enough to have done so, what would you suggest for the best files to download? Can you give a quick summary of what the game is and why it’s fun to play?
I was making a game using the Haxe-based game engine HaxeFlixel, but kept running into roadblocks or having to make sacrifices I was uncomfortable making. So I decided to look at other game engines and see what was available. Unity and Unreal were just too unwieldy and unintuitive after following a few tutorials, so I looked at some open source engines. Godot seemed the most well-rounded and user friendly of the bunch, so I made the switch.
I really wish more people knew about and played Tabletop Playground. It’s much better than Tabletop Simulator imho. It just needs a marketing push to get the players.
You forgot Tabletop Playground. It’s a much better implementation than TTS, but sadly doesn’t have anywhere near the same number of players currently. It does have a large number of community mods though, with most popular games already implemented. It’s also great in VR.
Better yet, I’d like the option to automatically boot into desktop mode when I’m hooked up to a display, complete with desktop-specific settings.
Choose a lower difficulty when starting the game. It turns it from a hopeless immediate struggle for survival into a fun exploration, farming and building game with the occasional pocket of zombies to deal with.
Even in their apology they’re still taking potshots and talking down to those who choose Godot. I don’t think the Godot community will miss them.
I long for the days when people didn’t call any concept they disagreed with “political.”
