That’s sad to hear. I fear that less people will use custom roms and therefore overall development will suffer. But maybe some people will opt for fairphone instead of google, which at least makes it a tiny bit better imo…

What other reliable (in regard to reliable custom rom compatibility) phone macturers does this leave us with? Fairphone maybe, are there any others?

First Vimusic, then og Innertune and now Rimusic. My guess is that there’s some legal action going on behind the scenes and Google is trying to kill off all those apps. Either way, they all will most likely become useless once Youtube is done rolling out their DRM. Was a short but nice time with them.
