I still live like I have limited minutes, and can honestly say I don’t think I’ve used more than maybe…20 minutes a month? Maybe less. I just checked my last 3 bills, and t-mobile doesn’t list minutes anymore.

I think a couple apps restarted on Lemmy around the same time Sync came out. I know boost showed up, and I’ve seen a bunch of newly released app announcement threads in the last week.
Probably a combination of new and better apps. I know I basically just lurked until sync came out. It just feels familiar, and all the features I want are just here. The only thing I think I want, is to see how many down votes are on posts, but it’s literally the only thing I can think of.
I cancelled plans once with the excuse that I had to take care of my grandmother.
I wiped her urn off with an anti bacterial wipe, and played videogames.

Sync isn’t down, Lemmy.world is receiving heavier than normal traffic, because of sync. If you switch to a different instance, you don’t get the warning popup.
Sync for Reddit users are now getting damn near the same exact experience here, that they were on reddit. Same UI we’ve been used to for years, and Lemmy content is easier to navigate through, and it opens you up to browse the instances version of r/all instead of just what you’re subscribed to.
The search is nice too, because the couple things I looked for as far as ‘subs’ go, I’ve found multiples across different instances, each with a different variety of content.
It’s fine to dismiss the idea, because on reddit you could see the same user post the exact same article on a dozen relevant subs. If you try to hide them, which one do you hide?
It’s a stupid idea, akin to wanting to ban all reposts.
Deleted the half dozen other apps I had for all my Lemmy accts. Now I have just 1 app to rule them all.
Oh my God this is great. I’ve hated the other Lemmy apps. It feels so much more natural.
This. Firefox has always been just good. It wasn’t great or anything, it was just a good browser. Then chrome came around and it had more, better features. It was a bit more memory usage, but those were for the additional features Firefox didn’t have.
Firefox didn’t really change a whole lot, it added synching features across accounts, and didn’t get worse. It just stayed the same.
The people made Firefox better, because now they’re creating add-ons for Firefox, where chrome had more.
I feel like once chrome got the majority of browser users, it immediately started going to shit. I have no proof of this, just a memory of it being better until it was announced that chrome was the most used browser, and the near immediate heavier memory usage.
