Does turmeric need to be a miraculous panacea? Isn’t it enough that it’s delicious?

There was a case here in Sweden where the Swedish police was tipped off on a potential paedophile by an American agency that had trawled through Yahoo email and found suspected CSAM. Swedish Police essentially swatted this man, assaulted him early in the morning, while he was in his bed sleeping, took him away without telling him what was going on; he thought he was being kidnapped. Eventually when it was made clear that the materials were private photos of him and his 30 year old boyfriend getting it on, they faced no repercussions.

The reasoning behind it? The police were masked so they couldn’t single out who was responsible for the assault. Of course they knew who was present, but since they didn’t know the actual perps it’d be unfair to investigate properly because that’d put them all under unfair suspicion, and it obviously wouldn’t be reasonable to punish all of the police present.

But it’s perfectly okay to beat the shit out of someone they think is a paedophile, and honestly it’s probably because he’s of middle-eastern descent.

I mean it sounds like they tortured this man for fun. Absolutely harrowing. ACAB holds true.

I swapped back to Firefox a couple of months ago. I am of the opinion that all browsers ought use the same engine, but Google shouldn’t be given more of a chokehole on the web than they already have. It’s troubling enough as it is.

That said, Firefox not supporting basic things like selectively turning off JS for websites, or vertical tabs without using wonky and inelegant third party extensions (and ui-chrome editing!) is honestly ridiculous.

It sounds a lot more scandalous than it was, but yeah. I found this photo. As you can see, you can’t really see the dude’s body, but you can see the details of box underneath his shirt.

Honestly, a UV camera/filter for the front camera would be useful for things like applying sunscreen. I’ve contemplated making a smart mirror with that type of functionality.

Didn’t OnePlus have a special camera which ended up being updated away because it would see through people’s clothes?

Would that I could, I’d trade years of my life to get some extra years for my dog. It’s insane to think he’s a third of the way through his lifespan already.

The thing that trips me up most about this subject is that 140 years ago, pork fat was very good for seasoning cast iron. Today, it isn’t, because the composition of the fat has changed significantly.

I misread it as “Widows” and got a bit concerned for a second.

Mozilla recently announced some kind of partnership with Qwant. Hadn’t heard of it before, and I was highly skeptical (I’m a very cynical person). I tried it out and honestly I think it gives me on-average better results than Google and Bing does. Since it doesn’t track you it doesn’t personalise the results at all, and as far as I can tell it doesn’t have any ads, though I do use an adblocker so don’t quote me on that. It’s also very snappy. Bing often has long loading times for me, which was incredibly frustrating.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I’m not saying that obesity is good, but I also don’t think we can judge people for it. If someone is learning how to love themselves, who are we to stand in their way for it?

Maybe they need that self love to push them forward and lose that weight? Maybe not. Regardless I don’t think telling people how they should or shouldn’t dress will bring anyone any sort of good.

It’s that old saying “if you don’t have anything good to say, perhaps don’t say anything at all.”

We all have our own attractions, that’s fine. However, people don’t have to meet our standards of beauty to exist and take part in society.
