Is sci-hub updated again? I mean its good it still works for papers older than a few years, but does it for papers from the last few years?

While the app is definitely ugly, I spend less time on Steam than in the games I am launching with it. But I do not use any of the community features. If an online search brings me to a steam community, that’s how I end up there, for no other reason really.

That’s why you use a literature management tool like Zotero which has a built in retraction alert based on the wonderful database of retractionwatch.

Does unfortunately not help the non-scientist looking up a random paper from a Facebook post.

Are there any public examples of that? The retraction process is so unbelievably convoluted and slow that I am surprised to hear it is used for censorship.

Putting such a project on Github is going to be risky, but maybe your case is again one of these where you can argue, you are not supplying the media yourself.

Seeing as this uses RealDebrid, wasn’t there some drama around the service recently? Not a subscriber, so don’t have any direct contact to this, just remember some threads where a company offering the services started giving out user info to the local government.
