At what point will anarchists stop bikeshedding about voting?
Apparently we need Leninists to tell us how to be anarchists. It’s a good thing TheOubliette is here to show us the light and encourage us to enlighten ourselves by reading theory that Marx, Lenin, and other comrades have so generously blessed us with. /s
Funny enough, the highest concentration of actual anarchists I’ve seen is on hexbear
Good joke, comrade.
Even if you’re a die-hard capitalist, you shouldn’t use “tankie” as a broad label for anti-capitalists. Diluting it as a term just helps the actual tankies (authoritarian communists).
Hexbear anarchists are sus, all two of them. I won’t say they’re categorically not anarchists, but I’m going to be automatically suspicious of any anarchist that loves hanging out with Leninists.
According to the reddit thread, the EMTs called them.
Yup, that’s why I’m a Mutualist.

It’s yet another demonstration of how ineffective electoralism is at stopping fascism. The Democratic Party is centrist (or center-left if we’re being generous). Centrism isn’t really an ideology, just a strategy for winning elections. Principles are just tools to be either used toward that end, or discarded. It does tend to be pretty effective, which is why it’s so prevalent.
Fascists, however, are committed to gaining power *by any means necessary*. While centrists are constrained by rules and norms, fascists have no such limitation. By discarding any moral restraints, fascists become far more effective at the centrist strategy than centrists could ever hope to be. In turn, the centrists are forced to double down on discarding any principles that they may have grown attached to, following the lead of the fascists in an attempt to catch up.
We want to separate power from money.
Unfortunately, the two have an extremely strong attraction to each other. Keeping them apart isn’t feasible in the long run without actively dismantling concentrations of power.
Are the liberals going to stop being annoying if anarchists write enough impassioned comments about how voting is in fact NOT infinitesimally good, but is ACTUALLY infinitesimally bad?
Seriously y’all, move on. This doesn’t matter. You definitely have better things to do with your time, even if it’s just idle leisure. Go, be free. Let anarchist voting discourse chain you no more.
