My take on wool: Wear it as long as possible, patch it and recycle or upcycle it when the time comes, and buy something that’s 100% wool instead of having synthetics mixed in, so it can be composted after use.

You’re missing that the climate crisis is not a problem that can be solved by consumers, that’s what BP wants to make you believe by introducing the carbon footprint. Those companies are actively working to hold on to the status quo because they have lots of money flowing their way until things change.

The message behind this is not to stop buying from those companies, it’s that they are knowingly destroying our future and that we have a right to defend ourselves and this future.

They pledge to defederate from Meta, I’d go one step further and defederate from any instance that federates with Meta.

I’d say it could lead to some kind of revolutionary movement, but for that it would be helpful if there was already some kind of organized resistance, which I think is not the case. It’s definitely a test of Putin’s power and will show how good repression and propaganda have been. I’m afraid it’s been good and if there is a shift in power, it will just be new assholes with money and weapons, not a revolution. But we’ll see, it’s definitely interesting to watch.

It’s mainly the developer tools that were way better than in any other browser for a while. I think Firefox has caught up and I thought about switching a couple of times, but old habits die hard.

Right, so everyone should just do without synchronization to mobile devices or set up their own Bitwarden. That sounds like a solution for the masses.
