  • naturally no other country in the world enjoys a similar level of prosperity without creating an underclass that they abuse for their profit.

There literally isn’t. Whine about the percentages all you want. You still have a higher standard of living than literally anywhere else in the world.

Capitalism did that. It’s not perfect but it’s better than anything else.

  • Gaming laptops are great for those who don’t understand they’re getting a slower, harder to upgrade and more expensive system than a desktop.

Unless a college student in Tokyo with half a square foot of desk space, or travel a lot and like to game at the hotel, there are very few reasonable justifications for a gaming laptop. And even with those justifications they are a less-than-ideal situation. A desktop is always a better solution when feasible.

If you remain perfectly still, you’ll stop sinking at your waist

I’m not sure you understand buoyancy. Floating objects float, they don’t sink no matter how much thrashing about. And while quicksand is denser than water, it’s still not dense enough to float a human at their waist, it’s actually around their chest.

Nobody dies from drowning in quicksand. Ever. It’s always dehydration/fatigue.

We now use the scientific method to argue ideas, but in the past ideas could just be laughed at if people thought they sounded dumb.

Used to before the whole covid scam anyway. Now it’s “trust the science” which of course is an oxymoron. The whole point of science is that we don’t trust it, we verify it. And that wasn’t allowed.
