Also, don’t promise them that it’ll be perfect and magical, set their expectations to be realistic. (This is where typically people convinced to buy a Mac quickly learn to hate it. They are promised it will never have problems and then they have one problem after another, leading to hating it and tired of having to message for more help. And a lot of people I’ve found that sing blind praises for anything are the same ones quick to blame and down talk users when things goes wrong)

First challenge would be trying to convince them to spend a ton of money for a computer that they only use to do basic web surfing.

Then there is the fact that MacOS is different than Windows in look and feel, so a larger learning curve, all to do what they’ve always done before. People don’t like change, and the bigger the change, the more the pushback.

And in my parents case, they have already talked to other parents who’s kids convinced them to get a Mac. And heard all the complaints and regrets of those other parents for buying a Mac, and how it will be their first and last Mac. (My mother needed help buying a new laptop a few months ago, so I know about this).

Last time I tried it? Like freeze and be unresponsive on my phone for seconds at a time slow. (My phone doesn’t lock up though, I can still go to the home screen, swipe to see notifications so it’s not the phone locking up completely)

When dealing with the military, you need to make sure your devices are secure, not “well basic users most likely couldn’t break into it.”

Now, the title is terrible because it does point out later in the article that many devices will be banned, so it’s most likely not just iPhones, but also off the shelf Samsung phones as well. They will most likely want a secure smartphone like a Samsung Tactical Edition smartphone, as those are secure and have military designs.

Which long flight have you flown that had them? I’ve flown a few over the last five years, and only one had USB. Air Canada, WestJet, RyanAir, Korean Air, and Aer Lingus didn’t have one, all for international flights that weren’t short.

I think the reason why is its a powerful computer and if they dont already have a good computer, why not make this their main PC? It would be cheaper to buy a dock, monitor, keyboard and mouse (under $200), than buy another device with the same specs.

Not the hardest. Worst case, install Boxes from Discovery app and spin a VM of a different OS. Make it your “main” OS for apps that won’t work on SteamOS.

In a world with consoles. Java needs a JVM, and those aren’t typical with things like the Switch (2 soon), PS5, and Xbox Series (half the alphabet).

Sorry, figured it was an obvious joke, but sometimes that doesn’t come across well in text form.

But to look at it at a different angle, GTA 5 on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 sold millions, and typically ran at mid 20s FPS, same as a TV. I don’t recall there being an issue or outcry of it causing motion sickness, and yet with million in sales, it would have been played by enough people.

Why didn’t this have such issues claimed? Or was there reports and claims it caused issues that I missed?
