  • What a load of horseshit.

I pretty sure the people that fought and died for those lines, the people that spent a lifetime building up something they love on one side of that line wouldn’t call them arbitrary. In fantasy land they might be arbitrary but in the real world they mean a lot. People who break the law shouldn’t be rewarded.

People aren’t suppose to be there. They should go somehow. If there are 15 million people and they largely seem to be one skin colour as you make out. That’s seems like a good starting point to me. How else would you do it?

Because trains will run 24-7 for 5+ years to deport 15+ million people?

That’s genuinely mindblowing. 1 that the trains are that bad. (Some lines hit 1.5 million per day). 2 That the situation is that dire it will take so long to fix it under ideal situations.

You don’t seem to be making any point but rambling from then on. Paying taxes says nothing without taking everything else into account. It’s literally meaningless. If they just need to reapply then it seems like they need some convincing. 15 million! Of course something needs to be done to convince them to stop breaking the law either ship them out if they aren’t meant to be there or convince them to do their civic duty

It’s surprised me once I got out of school and uni how little people know. But what really blew my mind is just how little they actually care.

Like someone will say they don’t know how something works, I’ll explain and they will stare at me blankly and I really realise they didn’t want me to explain and they were actually happy not knowing. Whereas I will look at something, whether it’s a kettle or pasteurisation or grass and wonder how it works. But for people actually to prefer not to know and live in ignorance really messed with me for a while.

I’ve largely given up now. My boss said he was getting all the heating changed in his house to have electric. I asked why he doesn’t get a heat pump and he told me it’s because they don’t work they just blow air our like a fan so it’s colder than an electric radiator. I just said okay and moved on.

Where’s all those 4chan short stories about humans being the “monsters”/ kick ass.

It was written from the point of view of a deer being tracked by a human even when they were out of sight and smell the humans keep coming and they never got tired.

There was also ones written from the point of view of aliens.

Fuck I wish there was a forum version of 4chan. All the best stuff is on there.

  • There is a whole thing about land use rights and energy and sustainability. But just because one guy was right on that doesn’t mean the whole movement wasn’t a complete disaster from the start.

As much as this website hates capitalism I’m still pro capitalist. But even I admit a lot needs to be changed. Land is one of the big things I have been contemplating lately. Having said that, there wont be any meaningful food production in cities for anything but mental health reasons.

    Cheaper isn’t always better no.

Which is why it is so impressive that the Falcon 9 is cheaper than the competition and more reliable.

SLS is still in early days so it’s hard to compare as it lacks numbers of reusability. But any rocket that has flown a lot whether it be the shuttle or even the mighty Soyuz. Falcon 9 is the most reliable rocket in the world and the cheapest.

If NASA can’t build rockets as cheap or as reliable as space X then I think the argument is that the SLS is a waste of money.
