  • If you’ve been using Windows for decades, Linux is absolutely not easier to use. Troubleshooting Windows for me is super easy and nowadays I hardly have to troubleshoot at all. It kinda just works™. Troubleshooting Linux as a noob is absolutely atrocious and I’ve always run into a problem with Linux within the first couple of weeks.

That said, I wish I grew up using Linux, so it’d be second nature to me. I really would like to ditch Windows. Problem is, I’m already burnt out from my job, I really don’t have the energy to make the switch yet.

  • People that really want convenience just pay for streaming services.

Streaming services stopped being convenient a couple of years ago. Introduction of ads, content strewn all over the place, shitty UI, etc.

I went with Stremio because it has everything in one place. Seeding is not an option because Germany is a shit country for seeding Torrents.

Real Debrid does the torrenting while the end user downloads the cached content. I’m not sure if they seed or not however.

I despise these blurred backgrounds. I understand if you use it when working from home and don’t have a dedicated office, but so many people do it even when they’re at the corporate office. The flickering is just super annoying.

  • While I do agree with a couple of points, the amount of greens isn’t a problem. Especially in Japan they like to load heaps of spring onions onto their food. Okonomiyaki often has a mountain of spring onions.

And this isn’t a photography community. While most pictures here are just plain sad, this one has some color in it. And it’s about the food I guess.

I have an iPhone for work and a pixel that I use privately.

There’s like one or two high quality apps on the iPhone that are amazing but that kinda sums up the positive aspects of the iPhone. I absolutely hate the user experience. Android is simply better at this.

But I do agree with you. They’re just bloody phones. Do people really still give a shit? I’m actually pretty sick of these phones. The pixel 7 Pro is the first phone that works the way I want it to and I’d like to simply keep on using this phone for the next 30 years if possible because I don’t want to spend any more money on these shitty rectangles.
