I think even the free tier allows for original quality but its been years since I was on it. You only get like 15 GB of space though as well.

Self hosted you could use Plex to automatically upload all photos to your computer then download as needed to the other one.

Personally I use Google photos to do this and it works great but will probably require you to get a subscription depending on the size of your library.

My personal phone is android with a work iPhone and I want to transfer things over sometimes so I set up my work phone to upload as well.

Personally I would use a password manager for at work as well. Bitwarden can generate 8 character passwords. Easy enough to remember and if you forget it’s right there on your phone.

Ah man that sucks. I do wonder about those kinda of things and it’s gotten me to when I’m late for work and someone at work will call me once and my phone won’t ring and wake me up. Thankfully I also have a work phone and generally people call that and it’s always on loud since I don’t use it for much other than work stuff.

Personally my phone goes into do not disturb when I it’s charging and it’s past 11pm. If any of my favorite contacts or a repeat caller calls me then it will actually ring through to me. But it’s keeps the screen off, in black and white when it does get turned on manually, and means my phone doesn’t vibrate or beat throughout the night for any notifications.

True true. My favorite is that we are a trucking company. They genuinely debated dropping some out truck down 5 weight classes to save $700 a year/truck. They could only do that to like 10 trucks and those trucks pretty regularly hit the max legal weight they are currently registered for.

I feel like that’s basically how sync was working for me. I can’t remember my exact notification settings but probably used polling. But if I was using the app and would open a thread or refresh or something I would get a notification that I had received a message. Other than that I generally just used the emails reddit would send me about a comment reply or something. They annoyed me for the most part but I never took the time to turn them off. 😂
