Good guy Valve.
Some say that giant Koreans don’t exist.
Good guy Valve.
Orange Chicken (but not the delicious kind)

I did the opposite, kind of - from a Blackberry Pearl to my Cliq.
Texting was def easier on them. Plus it was fun to pop the keyboard out. The slider was very satisfying.
I had this guy (Motorola Cliq) and loved it:
Yes, agreed. I do think overall that being a billionaire necessitates someone else (lots of someone elses) getting the shaft. But there are degrees of… billionairism, and she is on the right side of that, albeit still a billionaire.
I’m not down with billionaires either, but at least she’s using her fame and money towards some good things.
60mph/97kmh is not that fast, though. 90mph/157kmh is pretty fast.
I think the reason people are saying that Fahrenheit “feels” right is because we use a base 10 number system. 1-10 and 0%-100% feel right to us because of this. If you somehow knew nothing about each temperature unit, but you did know base 10, I feel like Fahrenheit would be more intuitive. Obviously if you grew up with Celsius that would feel normal.
Disclaimer: I feel like the US needs to adopt metric already. It’s so much better.
I always thought it stood for user. I even say it that way.
Now all the people they pay to solve these captchas will have to go find other work 😢
Orange Chicken - not just a dish on a Chinese restaurant menu.
I have a Pixel. I did not realize how bad this gets until work made me take an iPhone as my work phone. Holy hell. No amount of “Delete and report as junk” helps.
More cushion for the pushin!
I mean, technically you can lick any of them…
Someone would look at our process and say “that’s not agile!” and they might be correct, technically speaking. I don’t personally care what it’s called as long as it works.
We agree to requirements up front with our customer; we might change stuff as we go along if our customer realizes that what they asked for won’t work (this happens occasionally), which is fine, but otherwise we don’t let them change stuff around on a whim, and we don’t allow scope creep. If they want a new feature, that’s version 2 (or 3, or 4).
We don’t meet very frequently. We do check in to make sure we’re on target, and deliver features incrementally when it makes sense to do so. We do sprints. We talk about when things are working and when they aren’t, but only when we think it’s a good time to do so.
At the end of the day, you need to tailor the process to your needs and what makes sense to you and your team.
Love this.
It would be funny if you had to drink one every time your character drank a potion.
Oh very nice!
100%. Really, just go do something other than what you’ve been focusing on, then come back to it. When I was coding, I would go take a walk when I’d get stuck. 9 times out of ten the answer would pop into my head when I’d stepped away. A few times I even dreamed of the answer while sleeping.
It’s a real bummer interviewing these external applicants that you know won’t get the job. Like I wish I could just let them know, but we’re required to go through the entire interview process.
