What most people misunderstand about mental illness diagnoses is that most people have most of these symptoms. It’s only when these symptoms overlap and disrupt your ability to *healthily function as an individual that they require a diagnosis and medication/therapy.

Edit: Added healthily as that’s the real distinction.

Am I the only one that doesn’t understand how something could fall into a negative price range? Like does that mean the power companies have to pay the people using power? And how is power being that cheap a problem in any way? Isn’t cheap accessible power what we’ve been striving to achieve??

Personally it all comes down to adrenaline. If a task stresses me out enough to hit me with some adrenaline I’ll complete it immediately.

If not then I’m either doing nothing while thinking about the task or forgetting the task existed at all.

Ngl I’ve always hated spaceships with those swivel designs.

To me they would be incredibly difficult to pilot since you have to maintain awareness of its position at all times which is already hard enough in a 3d dogfight.

And all that extra difficulty for what? I don’t see any real advantages to the design.

It’s even worse than people act like it is.

Hearing loss is progressive. You won’t even notice it at first. You’ll just be sitting around one day and suddenly you’re half deaf in one ear and have roaring tinnitus in the other.

And it doesn’t even take overly loud sounds to cause irreparable damage. A typical motorcycle engine is loud enough. Music turned up slightly too loud. Hell simply clapping your hands can do it.

Our ears are just as shittily built as our knees.

That’s the worst part about all of this.

I’m gonna be honest.

The main reason I don’t like Firefox is the ui.

It’s one of those things where I’ve been using chrome for so long that switching to anything else is infuriating. Trying to learn the layout and all the features. Trying to figure out how to do things that are intuitively design on Google.

If someone made pretty much a 1 to 1 copy of Google without all the bullshit I’d use it in a heartbeat.

I mean realistically we’ve done/are doing irreparable damage either way.

Regardless of the region we’re causing massive population drops among pretty much every species.

We’re near the end of one of the arms of the milky way. There’s trillions of stars in between us and the center of the galaxy.

The only real way we’d get an actual image of the center of the milky way is if we somehow maintained connection to a telescope that was billions of light-years away.

Yeah the data indicates we’ve killed so many they haven’t been able to repopulate fast enough.

They’re not avoiding the roads there’s just not as many bugs flying around anymore

Humans have forward facing eyes and we were prey as well as predators.

I was just poking fun at the wording since technically if I know 100% about a pebble then technically I know more about that pebble than the ocean. Because I don’t know 100% about the ocean.

I do. I’ve conveyed the same information in so many different fucking ways and they still don’t get it.

Then one of them finally figures it out and explains it to everyone else the exact same way I first explained it and now they all get it.

We know pretty much all there is to know about the moon. The oceans are much more complex, so there is a lot more to learn.

Honestly physics is super simple when you realize nothing makes sense.

And I’m being completely serious. Once you actually truly realize, that the universe is just a total fuckin mess that basically runs on the strongest luck engine there is, it all starts to make perfect sense.

Once you understand the chaos, the order begins to form.
