Crazy stuff all around, I think.

$10 says the “special surprise” is a shout out/recruitment post from something like “truth social” (or wherever they hangout nowadays) to go takeover what’s left of Reddit.
This is exactly what I needed to brighten up my day.
Oh my gosh, someone needs to contact tech news orgs
RIP Twitter
This is a cool idea! Is there anyway to point it at a specific community? /r/nosleep was my favorite.
It’s amazing what companies can get away with that a real person can’t…
When game studios the size of CD Projekt Red and Respawn Entertainment can’t figure out how to make their game work in a single OS for PC (Windows) how do you expect them to make it work on well on MacOS?
This makes cross-platform games closer to reality because Apple’s doing the heavy lifting.
I completely see where you’re coming from with the idea of including personality disorders because of that “feeling squarely problematic” definition. Drawing on some personal experience, I don’t personally view myself as having a clearcut case of Asperger’s because 1) it was never severe enough to be a huge problem and 2) it was diagnosed after I was already an adult, by one psychiatrist (out of many).
Saying to someone “I’m considered neurodivergent” makes more sense to me than saying “I might be on the Autism Spectrum, depending on who you ask.”
Good insight!
You already got a good answer from @[email protected]
Another way to think of it is: Would Reddit really want to make an API Application Key for each user of their site when the point of the API change in the first place is to make Reddit profitable?
LIke, even if I could build an open source “Reddit App Whatever” from scratch when I got to use it I would need to request an Application Key from reddit.
Read about it here: https://github.com/reddit-archive/reddit/wiki/OAuth2
That’s an interesting take… The border might be “artificial” in terms of land, but in terms of culture and quality of life I think your opinion is a bit… extreme. Like, if you had to personally host an economic migrant from a very poor country I don’t think your resolve would hold. It’s one of those things that sounds nice on paper but really isn’t once implemented.
Consider, for example, that countries on opposite ends of the of the political spectrum and economy agree that they must have control over their borders to some extent. Either to keep people in or to keep people out. Do you honestly believe that communism, democracy, or [insert your preferred system here] can work if you allow millions of people who hate it into your country? Your opinion does not seem compatible with a functional society.
Your reaction confuses me. Do you think you can just walk in to any country in the world as you please?
How many words?!?! Did you add citations? lol
