Oh yeah, I’ve got mud daubers, too. They’re cool; they don’t mess with me, and I don’t mess with them. It’s really just those big, red assholes (and the occasional yellow jacket) that are problematic.
I’m fine with bugs that don’t bother me. Around my house, I’ve got a ton of red paper wasps. They’re assholes. My mere existence makes me a threat worth stinging. Same for the rest of my family. They can go fuck themselves.
Except it’s not so much “shiny” that distracts me, as it is literally anything.
There are things that I’ve intended to do for months. Many times, I’ve been on my way to do it, only to have some little thing distract me, and then completely forget about what I intended to do. Maybe a child asks me a question. Maybe I stop to take a sip of water. Maybe I just start thinking about something else in that 10 second walk. The significance of the distraction does not matter; the task immediately vacates my mind. I often even remember that I was going to do something, but I cannot remember what.
How many times are they going to try this shit?
My wife’s job has all of those amenities, too! Well, it didn’t at first, but she’s been 100% WFH since covid. She’s got an office with a window, cats in the workplace, lunch is brought to her straight from the kitchen, and she can even take breaks to go on walks with her family during the day.
Oh man, my whole desktop experience used to be themed. I would spend hours finding the perfect skins.
What’s a milk drinker like you doing out here? Go home to your mother.
It is tacky to leave the sticker on there with the lower price, but you are the one who paid 12£. How does it matter what they paid? If they search for books to resell at a profit, that’s time spent, risk taken, and money earned.
Science is blue (dark blue, if given the option).
Math is red or black.
English is green.
Social studies is yellow.
Everything else goes in whatever is left.
Merriam-Webster, definition 1:
a: any of an order (Hemiptera and especially its suborder Heteroptera) of insects (such as an assassin bug or chinch bug) that have sucking mouthparts, forewings thickened at the base, and incomplete metamorphosis and are often economic pests
called also true bug
b: any of various small arthropods (such as a beetle or spider) resembling the true bugs
c: any of several insects (such as a head louse) commonly considered obnoxious
But they wanted to feel smugly superior! Poor fella can’t even be pedantic properly…
I’m guessing you missed where that was stated in the image.
I’ve used my Steam Deck as a controller (via remote play) while sitting at my desktop PC. It is by far my favorite of the various controllers I’ve used.
Are there doctors and scientists recommending people NOT to take it?
There are morons in every field. We can’t just look at the outliers.
Yeah, I somehow doubt that Apple could be done in like Yuzu. They’re in a different ballpark, league, and game.
That’s my secret: I’m always depressed.
This is a clear case of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t.” Some people will complain, either way. Personally, I prefer the current implementation.
Most people are inherently biased towards their chosen system. A “water scale” doesn’t make sense to fahrenheit users, and a “human scale” is dismissed as even existing by the Celsius users. But hey, if you want to fight, have at it. It’s annoying and pointless, but that’s what the internet is for.
Ah, so I did. Not sure how I managed that, considering how relevant those points should be here.
