As it should be but not how it is.
As it should be but not how it is.
Did you invoke the magic phrase? You must say “these edibles ain’t shit” to activate their power.
Neither storage “solution” is currently adequate for fossil fuel replacement and may never be for high-density populations. Nuclear is less impactful than burning hydrocarbons or damming rivers and fearmongering about radioactive waste products isn’t helpful because, again, every nuclear accident or leak to date has been less harmful than normal exhaust from coal-burning plants and riparian habitat destruction.
If we had kept investing in an actual energy solution we would have gen-IV reactors already and the waste concerns would be even lower.
I don’t know exactly who you’re talking about but there’s a bunch of people on my block list so I hope I already got them.
Where do you live that bears and gangs are both on the table, Anchorage?
The unfiltered boors of the world like to feel valid and important.
Forced perspective? Look at the plates, the jars, the chips! It’s so clearly a pile of drumsticks, and not small ones.
Virtue signalling into the void. Don’t get me wrong, I did it too in 2012 because I was disillusioned with Obama and I live in a deeply blue state. But that’s all it is. You’re better off writing an encouraging letter to your candidate of choice, or talking to your neighbors about the city council, or any number of other things that might actually make a material impact on someone’s life.
They aren’t banking on a military coup d’état, they want to delay and obfuscate until their crooked Supreme Court can award them the presidency, then start passing legislation that allows red states to do whatever they want with regards to elections. All this “never vote again” stuff is literal, the GOP wants to take advantage of the fact that there are more red states and that gives them unbalanced voting power, then stuff those governments with loyal cronies.
All this because Lincoln was killed and we subsequently fucked up Reconstruction. Should have changed the rules back to protect citizens instead of land.
That’s not half of voters, that’s half of people who respond to polls about gender opinions. Specific polls are twrrible ways to gauge general trends.
Good thing that, uh, doesn’t happen anyway. At Guantanamo Bay for instance.
Nothing, it just makes them feel special.
It’s been a while since I’ve done kitchen work but I’ve never had an automatic lifter. We just had someone being paid to cook food and watch the fryer. The issues start piling up in places that make the cashier handle front, drive-thru, fryer, whatever else all at once rather than pay an extra $150 in labor for the day.
Stoop Kid is redeemed though.
His name is Jealous, for He is a jealous God.
Fortunately it’s being used against the anti-diversity side.
Ah yes, Lemmy the monolith. Lemmy the single person with a single thought. Nevermind that there are many Lemmy instances with very different user bases.
Fast food is often the only restaurant option for people working night shifts. I used to clock out at 5am. You know what’s open at 5am, when you’re hungry but too tired to cook dinner because you’ve been on your feet for ten hours? Fast food. Maybe a diner if you’re near a truck route, but honestly that’s not much different.
It’s far from the only way society ignores the needs of people who keep everything running behind the scenes, but it sure was annoying.
For a simple cold water model, sure. Maybe theirs is heated and needs a second water line run to the main plumbing, or a power cable somewhere which can be awkward in a bathroom.
What, and take any responsibility for the Commons?
