I just went to nhentai .to and nhentai .net from TX and was immediately shown naked anime children, so no, I don’t think that site has figured anything out unless I got the domain wrong.

Owning a dozen or so websites doesn’t make them a monopoly when there are tens of thousands of porn sites available.
There are countless models over the age of 22 making bank in the porn industry. The only difference is that they have talent.
In addition, the porn business is hot right now! So many people just got cut off and are now paying for content.
Buyback programs in the US are good for PR but do little to remove guns that would be used in a crime. Mostly people sell their junk and old rifles at these things. Many times, while they’re waiting in line they’ll get a better offer by the mob of people on the sidewalks looking to buy.
Ammo restrictions, I agree would be effective. But the 2nd Amendment would shut that down.
Documented firearms, again the cat is out of the bag. There are millions of undocumented firearms in the US. And no criminal would use one with a paper trail anyway. This just makes things harder for honest people.
Those “proven” methods haven’t worked in the US. The 2nd Amendment and a very armed population will see to it that the guns are here to stay, by force if necessary.
I’m not a defeatist, I’m a realist.
The problem is that in the US, the guns are already in the hands of everyone. There are more guns than people. The cat’s out of the box.
I’m with you there in general.
What’s your solution?
Works on Sync and it’s it’s hilarious!
Ok, sounds like they’ve made it a lot more clear since the reddit exodos which is the last time I’ve had any interaction with beehaw. That’s good then.
If people want to be part of a limited community that’s fine and well. The issue I have is that a lot of people joining lemmy don’t know what beehaw is about and join it just because it’s a name they’ve maybe heard of. Then they’re completely unimpressed by lemmy, not knowing they’re only part of a fraction of the federation. Next thing they’re back on reddit or whereever.
Also, as someone with access to the majority of lemmy instances, I’ve only ran into maybe a handful of assholes on here. I’m really not sure what beehaw is trying to shelter it’s users from. It’s easy enough to block someone on the rare occasion.
EDIT: dunno why, but because Beehaw, I can’t actually see the comment below. So I’ll answer here…
Beehaw defederated from a lot of the bigger instances because someone hurt their feelings or whatever. So now you miss out on the majority of lemmy content including comments. I would suggest creating an account with a different instance so that you can experience the entirety of the community.
That fat fucker sounded like he was threatened by having to get out of his chair.
I thought all the panting and wheezing was the dog at first.
Because Google has gone to shit and everyone’s desparate for a replacement.
That’s already been happening for about a month now… perhaps only for some users? Often the AI results are straight up lies.

As an introvert with OCD the nightmare begins the moment I make the commitment as I spend the next week obsessing over the impending thing.
Who the fuck even goes to a website to pirate anything these days? Go ahead and ban the entire www it will do nothing to stop piracy and only further ruin the internet.
What we have here is the rare “good cop”. And we all know what happens to good cops. If he doesn’t learn to STFU one of the regular cops are going to suicide his ass.
Officer Joshua Coleman chased and shot an 18 year old in the back while they ran. Then had the audacity to tell him “I’m going to save your life.”. This is the fifth (as if this article) shooting that this lunatic has been involved in. He was previously found to have bent tip(s) on his badge, which is something cops do to mark their fatal shootings. ACAB.
Man I feel this so much. Stay well good sir.
