Revenge of the Fifth
Hello there
Revenge of the Fifth
I’ve wanted to see Barriss become an inquisitor for a long time and I’m glad she acted like she did since she technically wasn’t fully wrong for her actions in the clone wars, she just went about it in the worst way.
Episode 2 really showed how she was a good Jedi, but for what the Jedi were supposed to be, not soldiers which is why she did what she did.
I do wish we got something more with Vader given that she was the one who basically triggered Ahsoka into leaving the order in the first place which surely helped with his fall to the dark side.
Also I really hope she died at the end, we’ve had too many people surviving lightsaber wounds in recent years, bacta can’t heal everything.
Episodes were fine I suppose, but I feel as though there could have been a better character to focus on instead of Morgan.
Thrawn is meant to be the next big villain for the Star Wars universe after the Ahsoka series and he wasn’t exactly great in that so why not give us 3 episodes showing why he should be a threat
Overall I think it was a very good series. Season 1 was decent, season 2 got really good in the back half and season 3 was very good throughout.
After season 2 did explore more of the “clones after the war” plotline I was hoping for a resolution this season but it is “The Bad Batch” not season 8 of clone wars. I do hope they finish that story though, seems like a single season special could do it but not sure they’d want to do that.
I do like that the brainwashed clones were just regular clones, not like resurrected Tech or someone else we knew. Not everybody needs to be a known character.
Was quite surprised to see the whole batch survive, definitely thought Crosshair would’ve done some self sacrifice to save Omega but a happy ending for once is nice.
Glad Rampart went out like that, we didn’t need another redemption arc for an Imperial. And Hemlok got what he deserved.
Overall I think it wrapped up the series nicely, there are a few unanswered questions but hopefully they will be addressed in other upcoming media.
I’ve always thought that Barriss would become an inquisitor, so glad to see that finally happen.
Loved Tales of the Jedi so hoping this continues to be a thing, just a short mini series fleshing out some characters using the beautiful Clone Wars art style.
Hopefully we will have another animated series using the art style soon after Bad Batch ends, but one of these every year would also be great
As the other comment said, it’s not really a follow up. We do get characters from the Clone Wars appearing in it that you really need to have seen Clone Wars for but for the most part it is a seperate thing. Bad Batch is really the Clone Wars sequel, with lots of familiar characters and continuing the story of the clones as a whole
Mando season 1 and 2 yes, 3rd season not so much. Andor was fantastic, Ahsoka was ok, Rogue One was fantastic. Clone Wars S7 wasn’t technically Disney as it was mostly just finishing the animation with a few changes. I enjoyed Bad Batch, but it’s no clone wars and Tales of the Jedi was very good.
Am surprised Rebels isn’t on here, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve been rewatching it with a friend and it’s very enjoyable
I still have issues with the film, but I do think TFA did a decent job at setting up the sequel trilogy, just a lack of planning for the overall story and letting each director choose what they wanted their film to be about is what really messed it up, like as much as I dislike TLJ, the worst part is that it does nothing to continue what was setup before it and doesn’t really end on a good note of where the final film will go
It definitely wasn’t clone wars season 7 quality but you can’t expect that from a fan project however for a fan project it was fantastic quality.
Was really cool to see the full fight and not cutting back and forth between this and Yoda v Palpatine.
I really wish the Kenobi show was more of a character study, showing what his life is like on Tattoine and how everything that happened affected him.
Show him training to become a force ghost and through that have some kind of force vision that connects him to Vader/Anakin and they can have a duel in that where afterwards neither one of them knows if it was really real, I think that would line up better with previous lly established canon.
That would be more interesting than him leaving Luke to go on a rescue mission for Leia and also actually meeting Vader
Assuming it’s not him in the trailer, whoever is replacing him has done a really good job
BAU BAU
Why go back to LCD after releasing an OLED for the Switch, surely it’s better to make this one OLED rather than releasing it with LCD and then making an OLED later down the road
I would proudly display that Tee Hee badge if I got it
Glad it’ll have crossplay there’s 3 of us on PC and our 1 friend on console so glad they’ll be able to play too
All these 10 year deals they’ve made with other companies, will they just be rendered void if the deal doesn’t go through?
Seems kind of strange to announce this way I wonder if they’re expecting a big leak to come out so they’re getting ahead of it? Otherwise, why not just mention at the end of that June direct that you’ll talk more about this in the coming months
