Fission doesn’t happen because we cut atoms in half. Fission happens because we blast enriched uranium with neutrons, the uranium absorbs a neutron, gets too heavy, and falls apart.
I mean think about it. Atoms are surrounded by a negatively charged electron cloud. Pushing 2 atoms together would be (sorta) like trying to push the like poles of two magnets together.

This is true! They’ve done studies on propaganda and the determining factor on whether or not people believed it is usually volume. If you perceive a lot of social pressure to change your beliefs to fit into a group you want to be a part of, you’re more likely to change your beliefs. I disagree. None of those other actions serve a purpose. It’s not like we can absorb calories through touch, smell or our eyes. No bosy just licks meat and then throws it away like they would if they just touched, smelled, or saw it. We actually eat the meat when we taste it. That’s why people enjoy the taste, because they associate it with being fed. Not because of some cognitive dissonance as the meme suggests.
