It’s just a shame the (presumably US-based) healthcare system is a clusterfuck, because that bit of expensive paper with a diagnosis on it would likely open up a whole host of avenues for exploration of the condition.

I’m fortunate in as much that my professional accreditations (and being a part time student) get me access to all sorts of discounts, but even still it’s worth asking for a student discount (or whatever they offer at the till) all the same.
Nine times out of ten, the retail staff aren’t paid enough to give two fucks, so they’ll just put it through as whatever discount appears on their till.
The worst they can say is no, after all - and that costs nothing.

I was brought up on C, did a module of Java at uni, and am doing an algorithms course which is python heavy.
My other half - who’s quite handy with Python - looks in sheer horror at my code which is littered with semicolons.
I was stumped for half an hour figuring out why the Python interpreter was bouncing an error before it had even reached the main program logic… turns out a { before the block of code royally ruins the interpreter’s day.
Still, I live and learn.

The sound design is half the reason why Doom was so good, and why Doom II is better - going up point blank to a tanky enemy with the super shotgun and making every shot count is borderline orgasmic - second only to beserk-punching an Imp into gibs while still moving forward, beautiful.
