  • The injury problem won’t go away and with the expansion of the euros, world cup and champions league it will only get worse. I mean Saka hasn’t really had a sustained break in as long as I can remember…

I see this expansion project all as a huge power grab where the bigger teams will horde all the players they can hold on to to have enough star reserves, to cover the almost guaranteed injuries. But maybe I’ll be wrong…

  • Ive watched very little epl this season, but here are my shit takes after getting some time off this weekend and watching 4 games:

Liverpool are a force to be reckoned with at the moment, and potentially this season. The fact that a new coach has managed to maintain their fluidity and how clinical they can be is pretty hectic, plus having an on-fire Salah doesn’t hurt.

ESR will not thrive at Fulham. Either the injury has really done a number on him, but more likely the football of relegation battle teams just doesn’t suit his play style. I hope this changes soon as he starts getting consistent minutes.

Ten Hag may be the first manager sacked if United don’t win next match. Losing like that at Old Trafford isn’t going to help his stock much.

Spurs won’t make the top 4 with their squad. Son needs a vicious striker to really show his potential, similar (but obvs not as good as) Ødegaard.

I really hope Sterling can come and give Saka a break. Man has been going non-stop since the 2021 season and I feel it is showing.

  • I’m going to put myself on the block here. Rice didn’t lose it for us, our front 3 did (again) we had numerous chances in the first half which a clinical striker would have put to bed. We were all over them for 70% of the first half and only managed one goal from a horrendous error from Dunk.

If Rice didn’t get sent off, we probably would have won it - but we should have put the game to bed before half time. Take the lesson on the chin, then be more ruthless against spuds.
